"The Vick Divide"

Last week, ESPN hosted a "town meeting" in Atlanta to discuss the Mike Vick case. Freakin incredible stuff. Like if it had been scripted for television, purely for entertainment purposes, it would have gone the exact same way. It was like Jerry Springer: Mike Vick Edition, the way the audience booed and applauded on cue.

At one point, I promise you this white dude on the panel was so frustrated he threw his hands up and was like, "What is wrong with you people?!" Except he knew he couldn't say "you people" without being booed off the stage. So your boy literally caught the P as it was passing over his lips, left it there, and rephrased mid-word to avoid the controversy.

At another point, a former player who had had the audacity to bring up personal responsibilty, was asked if it was true that at least 5-10 players on each team are involved in dog-fighting. When he said he had never heard another player talk about it, they straight booed this kat's life experience. Then another player that they liked said the exact same thing. Silence.

I really wish I had it on tape. Unfortunately, I do not. And YouTube is not coming through for me. Ah well... The memories.
