Gained in Translation?
Speaking through a translator, your boy Ichiro said about facing Dice-K for the first time in the U.S.:
I hope he ignites the fire that is dormant in the innermost recesses of my soul. I plan to face him with the zeal of a challenger.
well damn.

If I were a translator I wouldn't even be able to retain that in my mind to relay out. But then again, the opponents are...(nevermind).
Nah...but what I really don't buy is the State Farm commercial where Al Sicard all of sudden makes the little league team play zone and they win the championship. Minutes before the game, after rushing to get new unis, they learn and implement a championship-winning zone. Color Aristocrates suspect...
"He got em to play zone. ... I can't get em to play zone."
I do like that commercial. Suspect? Yes. Adorable? Absolutely.
